Iptv epg

I have recently been playing with IPTV, got a sub, works on my first gen fire TV stick, but very sluggish even using perfect player without kodi. Also the provider does not do an EPG or channel logo's

I have a couple of Raspberry Pi 1's and been playing, but again they struggle.

Renwich has convinced me to buy a new PI-4, I am waiting delivery of it.

Back to the point of an EPG, I have been playing with "webgrabplus" which is pretty cool, it does take some setting up, but gives great results and can scrape EPG data from all over the world.

It runs like a bag of spanners though on a PI with libreelec, so now trying to run it on a headless Paspbian PI-1 box to act as an EPG server for my new PI-4 device to grab off.

If interested, I can post up details how I am getting on as webgrabplus is a cracking app for providing an epg, can even select channels from other countries, which my IPTV provider does feed.

I've been using that for a while. I run it on a windows PC and save the data to a NAS to serve to my Enigma boxes. Works well

webgrabplus is pretty awesome, I first started running it on windows and transferring the guide.xml manually, but now got it running on a pi-1 box with a crontab outputting to a samba share.

One of my IPTV providers has added Aussie channels, so spent a few Hours Yesterday getting the EPG for the Aussie channels sorted. I found that the Foxtel and YourTV sources work OK despite several posts on the Webgrab forum saying that Foxtel doesn't work

That's interesting, would like Australian from my provider.

Out of interest, do you watch any Irish, USA and Canadian channels? If so, which are the best EPG sources you have found?
