    Default Sonoff

If you have sonoff switches you can flash them with other firmware like
    https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota
    https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEasy
    https://github.com/xoseperez/espurna
    Espruino

So you don't have to rely on the ewelink cloud servers that keep going down.

I recently bough an "S" onoff light switch, I was a bit sceptical at first with it being so cheap and not requiring a hub, but its actually spot on, the only thing I find a bit concerning with it is that the brass connectors are proud of the plastic so easily touched, I'm changing out my metal back boxes for plastic ones just in case and covering the exposed terminals in lecccy tape

    Bought another few sonoff devices

1x 433mhz wifi bridge, this has arrived and seems to work well with a very cheap old 433mhz plug I already had, very easy to pair, although getting the bridge linked to ewelink was a right pain as it requires 2.4ghz wifi and my phone with the ewelink app installed picks up 5ghz so it would not work, I ended up digging out a very old android phone (moto G g1 ) and setting up using that.

still to arrive a 433mhz pir and a 433mhz door contact

I have a energenie Mihome door contact for the garage door but it very rarely sends open and closed alerts plus the battery 1x AAA only lasts a couple of weeks
