Been running a Stick with Kodi for a little while now - mines all fancy and up to date so it wont run a VPN - I recommend an app called UNBLOCKR I dont know how it works ... I think it might be MAJICK! ...

I also use REALDEBRID ... excellent too

Simple solution.

Have an extra router slaved off your main one on a different subnet, and run open VPN on that with PIA.

Works great here, just another wifi network that all traffic goes through the vpn, no need for extra apps on kodi devices, just setup mac filtering to force what devices you want to go through the VPN router.
