the router`s default gateway is ... 192.168.1.1[ not 192.168.1.103 ] the same ip i would use when i go into the configuration setting within the router

d box network ip .... 192.168.1.100
subnet mask .... 255.255.255.0
broadcast .... 192.168,1.255

default gateway .... 192.168.1.1
dns server .... 8.8.8.8.

save and test network now gives me 100% pings !!

the router`s dhcp client table was showing me both ip address of my laptop [ lan & wireless ] and i thought was the routers ip.

LOL ... anyway my image is up to date... pmsl
